Engineering by requirement

The rectifier is born from your requirement.

Every direct-current system has its own needs. That’s why NPT develops the rectifier’s configuration based on the application’s real data — considering voltage, current, power, AC supply, battery bank, loads, redundancy, supervision, communication, and construction characteristics.

The result is equipment sized for the project's actual requirements, avoiding oversized, undersized, or standardized configurations that limit the application.

We do not adapt the project to the product.
We configure the product for the project.

Tell us your system requirements, and our team will help define the appropriate configuration.

How it works

From the AC grid to the critical load, without interruption

The rectifier converts AC mains power into stable direct current, supplying the DC bus and keeping the battery bank charged. If the mains supply fails, the battery takes over, and the inverter converts that energy back into AC when the project includes AC loads. Continuity of critical loads depends on the battery-bank sizing and system architecture defined for the project.

Technology

The choice depends on the requirement.

Switched and thyristor-based technologies solve the same problem — converting AC into stable DC — with different trade-offs in efficiency, power range, and robustness.

Switched (high frequency)

CIB.S and CIB.SP

High-frequency rectifier modules with higher power density and a modular architecture that allows structuring redundant configurations — suited for systems where energy efficiency and maintenance flexibility are a priority.

Thyristor-based

CIB.T

A proven technology for high direct currents, with operational robustness — suited for large industrial plants and substations.

In-house manufacturing

From engineering to delivery, without intermediaries

Every CIB rectifier is designed, assembled, and tested at NPT’s own plant in the Ipiranga district of São Paulo — with direct control over engineering, assembly, integration, and testing.
