Overview

About CIB.T

The CIB.T is NPT’s thyristor-based rectifier, developed for applications that demand high direct currents with operational robustness.

The architecture includes different rectification topologies — single-phase 2-pulse and three-phase 6- or 12-pulse — allowing the solution to be adapted to the project’s electrical and construction requirements.

Local supervision tracks the rectifier’s voltage and current (VRET/IRET) in real time.

Technical highlights

  • Thyristor-based technology for operation at output currents of up to 2,000 A
  • Single-phase (2-pulse) and three-phase (6- or 12-pulse) topologies according to the project
  • Supervision unit with rectifier voltage and current measurement
  • Suited for large industrial plants and substations
